Step back in time to October 1805, a pivotal moment in history as Admiral Lord Nelson prepares to depart Portsmouth aboard his legendary ship, Victory, to confront the formidable French fleet at Cape Trafalgar. Amidst the tension of war with Napoleon looming large, Nelson awaits a critical meeting with British spy Frances Near, whose intelligence promises to tip the scales in Britain's favor.
However, before the rendezvous can take place, tragedy strikes as Near's lifeless body is discovered on the docks of Old Portsmouth, shrouded in suspicion and intrigue. Enter Constable Catchem of the Old Portsmouth Police, determined to untangle the web of secrets and deceit lurking within the coastal town.
